MIDLIFE Health: Advancing Innovation in Women’s Health
The RADx® Coordination Center at Cimit, on behalf of the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH), is pleased to announce Midlife Innovations Driving Long-term Improvements in Female Health (MIDLIFE Health Funnel), an upcoming program focused on catalyzing solutions that help identify, understand, prevent and treat women’s midlife health conditions through technologies designed for real-world implementation.
The MIDLIFE Health Funnel consists of three assessment phases, with a total award purse of $3,225,000, which includes $1,000,000 from the NIH Office of AIDS Research to support technologies relevant for women with HIV, in addition to in-kind technical, clinical, and commercialization support to maximally accelerate progress.in addition to in-kind technical, clinical, and commercialization support to maximally accelerate progress.
An inflection point for women’s health
Midlife represents an inflection point in women’s health, with changes during this stage having the potential to influence health and well-being for decades to come. Yet many of the health needs women experience during midlife remain understudied and underserved by existing technologies and solutions.
MIDLIFE Health aims to help address this gap by supporting scalable, marketable, rigorously validated solutions that respond to women’s unique needs, empower women in midlife, improve health outcomes, and set new benchmarks for quality and responsiveness.

Through MIDLIFE Health, innovators will have an opportunity to advance technologies and solutions with the potential to improve health outcomes during midlife and beyond.
