The CIMIT Strategic Communications and Marketing teams facilitates internal and external marketing and communications, including social media, community building, branding and general outreach. The CIMIT media relations team works with journalists from local, national, and international media outlets who seek information on our groundbreaking research.
By collaborating with our marketing and communications colleagues at the academic medical centers, engineering schools, and private sector companies, we seek to align our community building strategies and messages with the strategic priorities of our consortium member institutions. For our scientific and facilitation programs, we create customized messages that are consistent with the CIMIT vision of innovative technology to meet healthcare challenges. For our public outreach efforts, we work collaboratively with our consortium marketing partners and public affairs offices to showcase CIMIT and the contributions made by CIMIT’s multidisciplinary research teams.
The Strategic Communications goal is to build a strong brand and promote the vision of CIMIT leaders, individual projects and signature initiatives. This team advances the CIMIT mission by methodically engaging and educating new audiences and expanding awareness with the media so that philanthropy and industry programs can attract and engage new supporters.
