Shift Happens: Confronting Change
We are living in exponential times. The pace of innovation and change, enabled by the ease and flow of information exchange are affecting all aspects of society, including healthcare. Our experiences and perspectives are US-centric, but the themes of Did You Know? are global in nature and apply to education, research and clinical care. The growing importance of developing countries, globalization and "flat world" factors provide opportunities and threats. The focus of our discussion will be the implications and possibilities for collaborative transformation in healthcare raised by the internet revolution.
