BACKGROUND

Colleen Kigin earned her MS at BU, her MPA from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and her doctorate in physical therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She served as the Director of Physical Therapy Services at Massachusetts General Hospital before joining Partners HealthCare to coordinate the system’s cost reduction efforts. Dr Kigin served on the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Board of Directors from 1988-1997, including three years as Vice President. She has served on numerous other committees, presently chairing the planning committee for the PT and Society Summit to be held in February, 2009.
